Sur Chico refers to the area along the south coast of Lima, Peru, Spanish translation could be Small South, however, their meanings distant from each other due the extensive area it compromise. Sur Chico project explores the urban expansion of the mentioned area in order to describe the process of how an empty desert becomes a massive urban extension of Lima (over populated in lost of parts).
I've been working on the project based on the area adjacent to the Panamericana Road, which is the main way used to transit within the area. Ongoing project since 2013.
